CONNECTED ASIA

About Connected Asia

This is a series of collective ideation with our community. This also includes a series of collaborations with our extended community.

We believe when a community with different perspective and background come together and have an open conversation, it adds depth to the discussion and allow possibilities to surface.

Panel Discussion with TEDxSingapore and National Library Board 2018

Women In Asia will be presenting two panel sessions at TEDxSingapore. In the spirit of TEDWomen 2018 theme SHOWING UP, we would like to showcase our local version and interpretation of the theme .

It's a distinct panel of change makers and community leaders, come and hear their stories and how we can all build a community driven by purpose.

In Conversations With Thought Leaders 2018

During this year's TEDxNTU event, Women In Asia did a special behind the scenes with TEDxNTU speakers and thought leaders. We explored how they embrace complexity in their fields of work, and how Asia can come together to be Greater than the Sum of its Parts.

We hope as a community we can unearth the most groundbreaking ideas- but we can't do it alone. Together, the sum of our efforts is greater than each individual stride. Only together can we galvanize real concrete change and face issues with diverse new perspectives.

Taste of Asia 2018

Durian, like Asia, can be and taste like so many different things. We did a culture immersion with our diverse community.

What happens when a group of Mexicans, French, Indians, Burmese, Malaysians, Cambodians and Singaporeans walked into a Durian store to try flavours of Singapore?

We held a community discussion in a heartlands durian store, on what is the taste of Asia, and introduced the King of Fruits to many attendees who had not tried it before.
